Attractions

We know you will be plenty busy at the fabulous Zaca Lake. But, for those of you that will be in the area a little longer, or have some extra time on Sunday afternoon, here is a quick guide to the area we'll be in.

Town of Solvang (5 miles - South)
A Danish town in the middle of nowhere, but right near Zaca lake. A must see.

Santa Barbara (33 Miles - South)
Pretty beachside city with lots of shopping, restaurants, beaches and hiking.

www.santabarbaraparks.org for info about Santa Barbara area county parks.

Celebration of Harvest
The annual October wine harvest festival is happening Saturday and Sunday October 13-14.

Santa Ynez Valley Visitor's Association: Zaca Lake is in the heart of Santa Ynez Valley wine country. There are many great wineries along Foxen Canyon Road that leads in and out of Zaca Lake.

Madonna Inn (61 Miles - North) Every room is a thematic daydream. The steak house in pink leather and jewels is a gaudy treat. Gents, be sure to pee in the waterfall urinal.

Hearst Castle (102 Miles - North) That zany billionaire.

Beaches and State Parks (North of Zaca)

Cachuma Lake (20 miles Southeast of Zaca) Fishing and hiking recreation area.

Andersen's Pea Soup (in Buellton)
Famous Danish Pea Soup on the interstate. Windmill friendly.

Santa Barbara Zoo (Santa Barbara) a small zoo, for the kids
